I'm not sure which pic this refers to, but if it is the restaurant I don't think the windows were the bathroom doors. There is not enough space to account for the right bay. Besides, if I recall, most cases I've seen had the bathrooms behind the office/counter/ waiting area so that they disn't take space away from the service bays.
The St Paul (MN) Pioneer Press columnist Joe Soucheray, who formerly had a popular afternoon drive radio show and still has a popular podcast ("Garage Logic") has a recurring bit where if you bring up a St Paul coffee shop, his response is "what gas station did that used to be?". Within a mile of my (and his) house I can think of a Caribou Coffee, a hair salon, a liquor store, and, alas, a parking lot that used to be gas stations...
