The first chapter in "Paved Paradise" by Henry Grabar opens with a very anti-car dependence quote from the Pope!
"The quality of life in cities has much to do with the systems of transport, which are often a source of much suffering from those who use them. Many cars, used by one or more people, circulate in cities, causing traffic congestion, raising the level of pollution, and consuming enormous quantities of non-renewable energy. This makes it necessary to build more roads and parking areas which spoil the urban landscape." - Pope Francis
You go, Addi! We need more Catholics, Palestinians, Amish, Hasidics, Hispanics, anabodys whose going to make our urban & rural communities more vibrant than todays.
You are right. 1. Matthew Yglesias, 2. Developers building unaffordable housing arguing their housing will help affordability. 3. Planners land use lawyers and engineers who are pro growth above any other value (such as the environment or infrastructure)

I read that, yes that's great!

As Pope Francis said, "A good Catholic meddles in politics." I had known that quote for a while, but I wanted to make sure I got it right, and looked for the source, and you might appreciate this news article about the homily that it came from: https://www.lastampa.it/vatican-insider/en/2013/09/16/news/francis-a-good-catholic-meddles-in-politics-1.35979600/?callback=in&code=ZMRJMTK2NDGTMZQWYY0ZMZLHLTLLNJQTMGFHYTI0MDY5NJY4&state=9dbdbb7221b74c43b776566936988ce0

Unfortunately Yimbys are annoying.
Who is a YIMBY? I am. Too much of a generalization.
