Creativity is anything but lazy, I would say it’s the antithesis of laziness. Thank you for writing this piece, it opens up on the “live to work” mentality in American culture that has frustrated me for decades. And thank you for sharing this learning experience.

Congrats on four years! It's been a joy to work with you in multiple capacities and I'm glad that you realized that everyone deserves rest too. It's a foundational principle of my urbanism work as you know, because as I'm sure you've found, creativity after a period of rest is quite the spark and quite the joy!

1) Jesus was constantly telling people to rest!

2) I don’t need to tell you the daydream believer word change story because it’s in your link, but anybody who doesn’t know it should read it. I always felt it wasn’t quite worded correctly for its tone, but never really suspected “they changed one word to its opposite on purpose.”

3) As a liberal, keep the conservatism stuff coming. Honestly, conservatism rocks. I love when people are thoughtful, careful, and believe in their fellow humans. It’s republicanism that I don’t like. An actual principled conservative party would be awesome.

4) appreciate that you pull over instead of noting while driving!

5) mother and child reunion is an incredible song. I feel like it’s completely overlooked and basically forgotten. It’s always been weird to me that Paul Simon wrote almost every Simon and Garfunkel song, and then when he split with Garfunkel, wrote hardly any songs on his previous level. But Kodachrome, American Tune, M&CR are fantastic. (Graceland is borderline unlistenable in my opinion, just awful, why do people love it so much?!?!)

6) happy official anniversary!
