My mom made these whenever we had breaded steak or veal. She simply used the leftover egg wash and breadcrumbs and fried them up. I loved them as a kid and still do. Made some the other day and had to see if i was the only one that had these growing up. I guess not. Being an Italian family I am guessing she learned this from my grandma who taught many of the daughter-in-laws how to cook Italian style!
