That "Drive Ethically" piece was so good. My own Christian background overemphasized formal, intentional actions as outreach, often at the expense of all the other unintentional actions that occur in these "morality free zones." Thanks for posting such varied and consistently interesting articles!
Glad to see your willingness to bring a Catholic perspective to an issue. I am a very defensive driver. I have an irrational fear that something large and metallic and weighing several tons is going to pop out of nowhere and hit my car, so that my eyes are open all the time. I think this is a very good irrational fear, and I am doing nothing to discourage it.
How long will it be before the mafia of Palermo starts going around and saying to migrants: “Nice fruit stand you've got here . . .”
In the core of our cities in the United States, most crime is poor people preying on poor people. That's in contrast to white collar crime which is rich people preying on anyone who can be talked out of a buck. Or large corporate crime which is seeking to set up barriers to competition.
I had the impression that many migrants were brought over by organized crime; I would assume that the local mafia is already trying to prey on poor migrants. Possibly they’re keeping their predation to a sustainable level, or possibly the migrants have organized resistance- maybe their own ethnic mafias.

Housing crises in video games are actually a well replicated phenomena that go back decades!
