Introducing paid subscriptions

But everything is still currently free for all subscribers

I’ve turned on paid subscriptions ($5/month or $30/year), but for now all posts will remain free. I will have some paid-only material in the future. (Think of this like Patreon for now.)

As I noted in yesterday’s post, I’m planning to keep this Substack going with one post per day, including once I have a full-time job again. It will be a significant time investment, but it’s a lot of fun and a great way to explore/test/sketch out ideas that don’t develop into feature pieces or don’t end up in final drafts. That’s not all I’m doing here, but I think of this as a briefer and more conversational corollary to my feature work.

I’d appreciate your support, if you’re so inclined. But even more, I appreciate you reading and following me, paid or not, so please keep it up!
